Regarding the services at hand, the University of Vienna, as body governed by public law, is not qualified as taxable person for VAT-purposes according to Austrian tax authorities (non-taxable scientific entity, ‘hoheitliche Forschungsanstalt‘, Sec 2 par 5 Austrian Corporation Tax Act – KStG). Therefore, the services performed under this contract, are not subject to VAT in Austria.

Side events

Post-Conference Dinner on 20.02.2026

Please select one of the venues if you would like to participate in the Post-conference Dinner, so that the organisers can inform each restaurant of the expected numbers to prepare appropriate food amounts.
There are only two restaurants in Grünau im Almtal (in addition to the local pub “Happy Hauer”, which opens at 8 pm and serves small pizza).

  • Almwirtinnen: max. 40 participants
  • Romantikhotel: max. 80 participants

PLEASE NOTE that you will have to pay directly at the restaurant.

Note: The conference dinner on Wednesday, 18 February, is included in the registration fee.
