Photographs / Video Recording

Parts of the conference may be photographed. The images may be used to promote the conference “Ubiquitin & Friends Symposium 2026" on the conference website as well as on Social Media (Bluesky). If you do not want photos to be taken of you, please approach the photographer to not photograph you.

Dietary requirements

As part of the event, personal data on dietary preferences (such as vegan, vegetarian, kosher, halal, etc.) is collected and processed in order to ensure that catering is tailored to requirements. As this information may allow conclusions to be drawn about religious or ideological beliefs, it is considered special categories of personal data within the meaning of the GDPR. The processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of the express consent of the data subjects in accordance with Article 9(2)(a) GDPR and serves exclusively for the individual planning and implementation of the catering offer. Regarding the services at hand, the University of Vienna, as body governed by public law, is not qualified as taxable person for VAT-purposes according to Austrian tax authorities (non-taxable scientific entity, ‘hoheitliche Forschungsanstalt‘, Sec 2 par 5 Austrian Corporation Tax Act – KStG).
