Are you a ‘young investigator’?

The EPS offers several exciting additional programs for young investigators, to promote your integration into the meeting, mixing with peers and senior researchers, and opportunities for awards and visibility!

These events comprise:

  • Career development panel discussion on Sunday afternoon before the meeting.
  • Short oral presentations during a dedicated conference session (Young Investigators Mini-Symposium, YIMS).
  • Exclusive mixer event on Wednesday evening to network with peers and experienced researchers from different career paths.
  • Consideration for poster prizes and oral presentation prizes.
  • Consideration for registration fee waivers/reimbursement.

How to take advantage of these offers?

You need to:

Be an eligible ‘young investigator’ (Registered PhD student, or postdoc < 2 years after PhD by the date of the early bird registration deadline) and upload supporting documents upon abstract submission.

Supporting documents: Proof of registration as a PhD student or postdoc < 2 years after PhD (student card/registration document/PhD certificate), CV (max. 2 pages).

Opt in for any/all of the activities you would like to be considered for.

Selection for the oral presentations and registration fee waivers/reimbursement will be based on the abstract and CV. Selection for the career development session will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Selection for the mixer will be based on a distribution of countries and groups.

Submit an abstract for a poster or oral/poster.

It is essential that you wait to register until you have received the acceptance or rejection notification regarding your application and abstract submission.
