Public Transport

Vienna has an efficient public transportation system.

You can easily purchase tickets at the ticket machines in Vienna, located at larger stops and stations across Vienna or online.

The 24/48/72 hours Vienna ticket is an economic way of moving around in Vienna.

You can use the WienMobil map to plan your route (also available as app).

For those who plan to do some sightseeing while they are in Vienna, the Vienna Card (EUR 29.00) might be the right choice. It is valid for 72 hours and entitles you to reduced rates when visiting museums, exhibitions, etc. You can buy the Vienna Card at the airport, in most hotels or order it online.

Vienna has four main railway stations, all of which are easily accessible by public transport. For arrival and departure times, please visit the ÖBB travel portal.

From Vienna airport

Train S3 to stop "St Marx" (runs every 30 minutes)
Duration: approx. 25 minutes, including a 10-minute walk


From Vienna Central Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof)

Tram line 18 (direction: Schlachthausgasse) to stop  "Viehmarktgasse"
Duration: approx. 18 minutes, including a 2-minute walk


From train station Wien Westbahnhof

Metro line U3 (direction: Simmering) to stop "Slachthausgasse"
Duration: approx. 25 minutes, including a 10-minute walk

or

Tram line 18 (direction: Schlachthausgasse) to stop "Viehmarktgasse"
Duration: approx. 25 minutes, including a 2-minute walk


From train station Wien Meidling

Train S3 to "Hauptbahnhof" and from there take Tram line 18 (direction: Schlachthausgasse) to stop "Viehmarktgasse"
Duration: approx. 28 minutes, including a 2-minute walk

S2 to "Wien Mitte-Landstraße"
Bus line 74A (direction: St. Marx S/Leberstr.) to stop "Viehmarktgasse"
Duration: approx. 36 minutes, including a 3-minute walk


From train station Wien Mitte

Duration: approx. 16 minutes, including a 5-minute walk

From station Wien Praterstern

Train S1 or S2 to "Wien Mitte-Landstraße"
Bus line 74A (direction: St. Marx S/Leberstr.) to "Viehmarktgasse"
Duration: approx. 29 minutes, including 5-minute walk

or

Train S7 to "St. Marx"
Duration: approx. 25 minutes, including a 10-minute walk


From train station Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof

10-minute walk to U4 station "Friedensbrücke"
U4 (direction: Hütteldorf) to "Landstraße"
Bus line 74A (direction: St. Marx S/Leberstr.) to "Viehmarktgasse"
Duration: approx. 37 minutes, including a total of 15 minute walking



Alternative transportation options

By bike

Vienna offers a wide range of bicycle paths. 

As most of the sights of Vienna are in the city center and they are close to the venue, it is also recommended to explore the city by foot.

In addition to various bike rental companies, there is the WienMobil Rad. Rental stations are distributed throughout the city. For more information about the city bikes click here.

Car sharing is an essential part of today's smart mobility.

Sharetoo is an innovative e-car sharing concept from Porsche Bank. The aim is to combine sustainable mobility with state-of-the-art technology. With around 200 vehicles in around 30 cities and municipalities, sharetoo Carsharing is one of the largest e-car sharing providers in Austria. Porsche Bank AG" is the first car sharing provider to be awarded the eco-label.
