We invite abstracts for both paper and poster presentations on the following areas including, but not limited to:
African Linguistics (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, language documentation, etc) African languages, politics and governance African languages in education African language policies African languages and technology African languages and development African languages and climate change African languages and biodiversity African languages and gender African languages and African history African languages in literature African languages Orthographies of African languages Multilingualism in Africa Second language acquisition/ learning and use in Africa Foreign language learning and use in Africa African Sign Languages African languages in the world Language Endangerment and revitalization in Africa African languages and religion African languages and culture WORKSHOP 1: Object marking in African languages and beyond: agreement and clitic doubling WORKSHOP 2: Interfaces and Multimodality
All research including completed research and contributions from ongoing research are welcome.
Abstracts should contain a maximum of 500 words, excluding references. Languages of submission are: African language, English, and French. Paper presentations will be 20 minutes followed by a 10-minute discussion
