GETTING AROUND IN VIENNA

Public Transport 

Vienna has an efficient public transportation system.

You can easily purchase tickets at the ticket machines in Vienna, located at larger stops and stations across Vienna or online.

The 72-h Vienna ticket (EUR 17.10) is an economic way of moving around in Vienna.

For those who plan to do some sightseeing while they are in Vienna, the Vienna Card (EUR 29.00) might be the right choice. It is also valid for 72 hours and entitles you to reduced rates when visiting museums, exhibitions, etc. You can buy the Vienna Card at the airport, in most hotels or order it online.

By bike / on foot

Vienna offers a wide range of bicycle paths. 

As most of the sights of Vienna are in the city center and they are close to the venue, it is also recommended to explore the city by foot.

In addition to various bike rental companies, there are also the WienMobil bicycle rental stations that are distributed throughout the city. For more information about the city bikes click here.

Electric Carsharing

Car sharing is an essential part of today's smart mobility.

Sharetoo is an innovative e-car sharing concept from Porsche Bank. The aim is to combine sustainable mobility with state-of-the-art technology. With around 200 vehicles in around 30 cities and municipalities, sharetoo Carsharing is one of the largest e-car sharing providers in Austria. Porsche Bank AG" is the first car sharing provider to be awarded the eco-label. 


Parking in Vienna

Parking is very restricted in Vienna, in particular in the area around the venue. You have to use pre-paid tickets called "Parkschein" (see picture), which exist in five colours:

  • 30 Minutes (red ticket): 1,25 Euro
  • 60 Minutes (blue ticket): 2,50 Euro
  • 90 Minutes (green ticket): 3,75 Euro
  • 120 Minutes (yellow ticket): 5 Euro

HandyParken

With HANDYPARKEN you can book an electronic parking ticket quickly and easily. Payment is possible regardless of sales outlets and opening hours. 

You can also book a free parking ticket for a maximum parking time of 15 minutes via HANDYPARKEN.

  • Duration of 15 Minutes (violett ticket): for free 
  • 30 Minutes (red ticket): 1,25 Euro
  • 60 Minutes (blue ticket): 2,50 Euro
  • 90 Minutes (green ticket): 3,75 Euro
  • 120 Minutes (yellow ticket): 5 Euro

Parking with these tickets is limited to a maximum of 2 hours. If you want to park for longer, you must use one of the parking garages. The closest one is the WIPARK Votivpark-Garage in Universitätsstraße (open 24 hours, EUR 4.30 per hour).The cheapest way to park in Vienna is to use the Park & Ride stations for EUR 4.10 per day (it is recommended to be there at 06:00 to get a parking space).
